reliable transport sharing

How negotiating works in the Cooreea system

Our intention with Cooreea is to give our users a lot of confidence when they decide to make an agreement.

To create this confidence we have built the following features into the system:

  • Secure payment management - Funds are only transferred on successful delivery.
  • SafeTrack - Our original and optional key exchange system ensures that, if used, you know at all times who has responsibility for the Consignment (not so applicable for transporting people, but still useful).
  • Robust feedback system - People who behave well and are a pleasure to interact with should be rewarded, and they are with our feedback system.

Step 1: Listings

Users looking for transport and those willing to provide it have listed their Journeys or Consignments in the website.

If you are unsure how to do this please see our other section 'Create listings' under the 'How it Works' page.

Step 2: Communication

Users can message each other on the Cooreea platform and make sure they are compatible. They can also assess each others feedback history.

If a user with a Consignment listing would like to request an offer from a driver, they can send them a message.

Step 3: Offers

Drivers can make an offer based on when they can pickup and deliver, what their cancellation terms are and what price they would be willing to accept.

Step 4: Agreement

An offer is binding if accepted and a driver is committed to delivering the consignment.

At this point the funds get transferred from the senders Cooreea account into a holding account, which they can top up anytime using a credit card or PayPal.

Step 5: Tracking

Until a Consignment has been received at the delivery address, there are a number of status changes. It can be set as picked up (which shows as in transit), delivered and delivery confirmed. These are clearly visible on your Consignment tracking page.

If the users have elected to use SafeTrack, then by supplying the appropriate key, pickup and delivery can be confirmed by the user who is handing over responsibility for the Consignment.

Step 6: Delivery

At this point an offer is binding if accepted and a driver is committed to delivering the consignment.

Step 7: Completion and payment

After delivery feedback from both sides is required before payment is transferred to the drivers Cooreea account.
